[DTRASH203] ERO GURO & THE FIRST SEED - Not Quite Gods

[DTRASH203] ERO GURO & THE FIRST SEED - Not Quite Gods
ERO GURO has been known to Toronto crowds for his intense rant-core for years. Now this on this hot new release, "Not Quite Gods", he collaborates with beat master THE FIRST SEED for this compelling disc cut from the underbelly of the breakcore/digicore genres corpse. Instead of Mantras about Fighting The Power, we have a scatterbrained plate of uncomfortable ideas, social isolation and awkwardness, an unhealthy glass of cynicism complete with the pulp of mental health instability. ERO's unique vocals and ideas get under your skin for a miserable trial of electronic panic... fuelled by the ever able techniques of THE FIRST SEEDs deft and stealthy beat and soundscapes production. Originally self released, D-TRASH is happy to be able to now distribute this sucker to the world.

DTRASH191 - NO BRIGADE - They Live

[DTRASH191] NO BRIGADE - Victims Of Greed
What do you know, Toronto's NO BRIGADE got kicked out of hell and are back for their 3rd full length album. Loosely based on the 1980's cyberpunk action classic "They Live", this continues and refines the NB sound becoming more unique in style and delivery of top notch digital hardcore. Raucous and raging, you will consume, obey, sleep & work to this overload of sensory euphorikill.

[DTRASH169] THE FIRST SEED & CHIC GALA - Free Prostitute

THE FIRST SEED & CHIC GALA - Free Prostitute
With "Free Prostitute", THE FIRST SEED presents 8 super charged electronic beats featuring the vocal colorings and lyrical stylings of 2012's most dangerous songstress: CHIC GALA. Following the recent release of her debut album "Inside The Ember Palace", this collection of songs showcases a much darker, more aggressive side of the performer. With tracks reminiscent of ATARI TEENAGE RIOT and CRYSTAL CASTLES on speed, the two definitely give the digital hardcore genre their own Southern Ontario dirty underground spin. With lyrical topics ranging from socio-political strife to the pain of getting your wisdom teeth removed and of course love(/obsession), THE FIRST SEED exchanges vocal and lyrical duties on almost all the songs giving the delivery a dynamic flow of the prose a complimentary contrast. The tracks spanning 20 minutes total are jammed with high intensity shredded breaks, slamming gabber kicks and desperate screams fueled by the futile dreams demanded from living in a capitalist nightmare.

REVIEW: THE FIRST SEED "We Are.." Reviewed at ERRORISM

http://errorosion.blogspot.ca/2012/01/first-seed-we-are-only-ones.html

"D-Trash has been the go-to label for Digital Hardcore artists, arguably more influential than even Atari Teenage Riot's own Digital Hardcore Recordings. The First Seed is a newer group with heavy elements of breakcore, glitch, and noise. Free Prostitute strikes me as the "single" if there is one, with the rest of the album at varying levels of increased weirdness (not that Free Prostitute is particularly tame). I haven't heard anything else by the artist, but I'm liking what I'm hearing here a lot."

MUSIC VIDEO: THE FIRST SEED "Powerless"

Here's a new video for a song from the new THE FIRST SEED disc!

[DTRASH159] THE FIRST SEED - We Are The Only Ones

[DTRASH159] THE FIRST SEED - We Are The Only Ones
Individuality is an illusion. We''re all willing minions to the corruption subtly veiled in deceit as the elite lead the masses using greed and consumerism to perpetuate the illusion of freedom while we succumb to their riches'' shackles. "We Are The Only Ones" is an exploration of 21rst century frustration with all encompassing conformity, failing governments and monetary systems as general complacency continues to allow our lives to be dictated by the almighty dollar. From impossibly fast computer drum shredding accompanied by gut wrenching screams to rap infused punk dub step this album is dynamic, abrasive and straight from the heart of The First Seed.

[DTRASH137] THE FIRST SEED - Defunktionalized

[DTRASH137] THE FIRST SEED - Defunktionalized
An exploration in abstract jungle, breakcore, and organized sound, THE FIRST SEED's 2nd release for D-TRASH leaves dancefloors even more confused. This material follows a conceptual path of our current technologically dependent lifestyles, and the coming upheaval caused by the dramatic threats of human reliance on advances in intelligent robotics. Channelling his cavernous aggressive electronic sounds through this mindset, has culminated in the most in-depth programming ever undertaken by THE FIRST SEED.
